SAND is led by Suki Kuehn. The first thing you’ll hear is a non-stop drive. Of course, it is Prog Rock- a genre that allows use of almost any musical style. The influence of classical music, and bands like ELP, Yes and Zappa are obvious (usually these bands’ earlier stuff). Overall, each song is an expression of a mood or theme, often with development, contrasts and surprise.

Future releases by SAND will focus on more prog rock as well as prog jazz and some stuff that doesn’t really fit in any genre.
